Life in the Father's House - The Tranquil Life

Does it make any difference that we are "found" by the Father? or, do we live our life as though we are still lost?

In other words, what does it REALLY mean to live a Christian life? Why does Paul say that we should live a "quiet and tranquil life?" Is it possible today?

I now understand the gospel regarding the steward. I can see why Jesus might like what the steward did. The person used the talents given him. He use his analytic skills, problem solving and proper communication skills. What parent wouldn't be happy and proud of their child for using the skills given and taught their child. If only he used them for good to get to the Father's house. By being honest, trying to help his fellow human and trying to convey ways others might meet, serve and love God, he may have gained our ultimate goal.
